Yoga nidra is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world. Yoga nidra promotes deep rest and relaxation that isn't found in your average mediation practice. Yoga nidra offers a space to explore what you need in the moment, as well as an opportunity to work on releasing long-held emotions.
In the yoga nidra class, we will have a short practice, followed by meditative rest.

Prana Yoga Teacher Training with Jennifer Whipple

The Prana Yoga Center Teacher Training program is a RYS 200 Registered Yoga School and fulfills the requirements set by Yoga Alliance; upon completion, you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT).
Deepen, refine, and further explore your daily practice. Join us on this profound, transformational journey and discover the
extraordinary, strong warrior that is in each and every one of us.
- Master the three basic building blocks of Ashtanga vinyasa:
1) Ujjayi (ocean) breath
2) The bandhas (energy locks)
3) Drishti gaze points
- Acquire comprehensive instruction on hatha yoga asanas theory and practice, hands-on adjustments and modifications
Gain indepth knowledge of the tantric roots of hatha yoga and basic yoga philosophy through the introduction to classic texts, current commentaries and reading projects
- Learn building blocks and skills to be able to teach yoga with confidence in a variety of settings, and also have a full understanding and appreciation of what it means to take the yoga off the mat and "live" yoga
Tuition: $2,500.00 (200 hours).
Note: Price includes unlimited yoga at Prana Yoga Center throughout the duration of the teacher training program.

- Enclose a deposit of $250 (check or money order made payable to Prana Yoga). The deposit will be applied toward tuition. The deposit is due with the application.

Settle Into Stillness with Jeremy and Nancy
Conscious Relaxation Infused with Sacred Sound

Join Jeremy and Nancy for a supported, breath centered Restorative Yoga practice paired with soothing and healing sounds. The fusion of sound, stillness, and breath will leave you feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. The vibrational experience includes the sacred sounds of the handpan, didgeridoo, multiple gongs, chimes, crystal singing bowls and more.
Discover the bliss of surrender as nancy guides your journey through nurturing restorative shapes supported by blankets, bolsters and blocks. The evening will culminate with a long and inviting savasana as you allow yourself to be carried away by a deep, multi-instrumental experience with enchanting ethereal sounds.
All are welcome, no prior experience with yoga necessary.

How Does Yoga Work? - Sutra Talk & Q&A (2 hours)
Did you ever wonder how yoga actually works? Are you curious about how bending your back can possibly elevate your soul? How can jump-throughs be a tool to self-realization and is it necessary to have a spiritual intention to practice yoga? In this opening session Tim talks about the building blocks of Ashtanga Yoga and our practice. Drawing upon the authority of yoga, Sri Patanjali, Tim will take a dive into the Yoga Sutras in the attempt to dig some answers out for everyday use. We will finish with a Q&A. All Levels Welcome.

Asana Foundation - The Standing Postures (2 hours)
By developing a conscious use of our legs during our standing poses we learn advantageous alignment principles that enhances energy, facilitates health and prevents injury. When we utilize the ground below correctly, these key asanas connects us to the core of our pelvis, spine and bandhas. In this workshop you will learn how this humble series of postures builds deep inner awareness and structural foundation for forward bends, back-bends, inversions and deep hip-opening work. Gain a new-found appreciation for this foundational work of yoga. All levels welcome.

Unlocking Mooladhara - Hips, Twists and Forward Bending (2 hours)
Understanding the intricate nature of your pelvis opens the potential to free your spine and allow energy flow to and from its rightful destinations in your body. Through partner & individual work you will learn how to open your hip joints to maintain healthy knees, increase your spines potential for motion, deeper levels of comfort, asana ability and self-knowledge while keeping your practice injury free and graceful. Primary Series Guided Class (2 hours)
Join Tim for a fun 2 hours and learn how this challenging sequence can heal and help you in your body and your life. Pattabhi Jois and Krishnamacharya artfully crafted the Primary Series to cleanse our body, purify our nervous system and burn away the delusions of the conditioned mind. The original Vinyasa method (also called ‘placing in a special way’), this thread of unbroken movements, mindful breathing and a defined gazing points, opens us up to experience the meditative mind while building a healthy, flexible and strong body. Discover how many lessons of hope, empowerment and surrender is at our fingertips. All levels welcome.

Nadi Shodana - Demystifying the Intermediate Series (2 hours)
In this workshop Tim takes you through a detailed, intense and fun exploration of how the Intermediate Series of Ashtanga Yoga unlocks the spine, hips and upper body, creates strength and develops a deep sense of calmness-in-action. Taking root in healthy anatomical patterns you will identify energetic pathways that lead to pain-free deep backbends, safe hip opening and a step-by-step method to master the arm balances. Also known as the Second Series, this group of postures challenges both flexibility and strength while teaching mastery of the nervous system.
*Students should have a regular practice of the Primary Series in order to attend. All levels welcome.
ABOUT TIM FELDMANN
Tim is the director and co-founder of the world-wide recognized Miami Life Center which he runs with his wife Kino MacGregor. He has practiced yoga since 1994 and Ashtanga since 1999. Authorized to teach directly by K. Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Jois he explores core concepts and modern boundaries of Patanjali’s yoga teachings alike. A practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga’s Advanced A Series, Tim is dedicated to Ashtanga’s traditional method. Drawing upon his past as an internationally successful dancer and acclaimed choreographer, anatomy, alignment and technique are second nature.
